Sewing School
I am excited to now be able to offer small group courses, workshops and private tuition in sewing and garment construction.
Most courses/workshops will take place at my studio in Holmbridge, however I also teach at the Manchester School of Costume so please check the description as some courses will take place there.

What’s on offer
-
If you have ever wanted to learn how to make your own clothes, one of my courses could be the place for you to start!
Throughout the year I will be offering a range of courses from beginner to advanced level. Some courses will focus on specific garments, such as trousers, waistcoats, casual jackets, dresses, etc. While other courses will focus on improving sewing skills.
All courses will be small groups with maximum 6 people, so I am able to offer each student the guidance and attention needed to acheive their goals.
-
Join me for 6 week terms of evening classes. Sessions will be 2.5hrs in a small group at the studio.
I will be offering beginner and intermediate/advanced terms, so whether you want to learn to sew or want help improving existing skills, there will be something for everyone.
-
If you would prefer 1-1 guidance, or have a specific project you would like guidance on, I also offer private lessons in my studio.
From beginner sewing skills to more advanced garment construction, we will take the time to work through it together. I have a variety of machines and equipment available in the studio that students will have full access to. All threads and trimmings are provided, but students will need to bring their own fabric.
To enquire about private tuition please get in touch
-
If you already know how to sew but just don’t have the space or equipment you need at home I will be offering drop in hire sessions where you can book to come and use a work bench at the studio.
You will have access to all of my machines, irons etc but will need to provide your own materials and threads.
